Why is our dinner alive - illustration

I saw a random stock photo on Pinterest, of a cook fighting against his chicken armed with a knife, and I got inspired to recreate that with my characters and add a little more context.
So here the crew is desperately trying to cook this octopus for their dinner, but it turns out it’s still alive even after they cut some of its limbs.
They’re all wondering what’s happening, ready to protect each other from this creature where in fact, it’s just Delilah’ their Necromancer who just wanted to make a little prank and have some fun.
Her powers are allowing her to take control of dead bodies, and since she isn’t really happy to be on the ship, she enjoys frightening the rest of the crew as often as she can.
